Middle of the Map Festival

Hear that? Something’s beating in the middle of the country. No, not the sound of cows being tipped. It’s the rhythm of guitars, projector reels and voices. It’s brush strokes, scribbling and singing. Timed to tempo. Cut to format. EQ’d and amplified. Hear that pounding beat? It’s the heart of discovery. Centered and justified. In the Middle of the Map.

My agency was brought in to solidify the brand identity for this multi-day music, art and speaker festival. I led the development of a brand system that could be used year-over-year and could tie all three parts of this festival together. Iconography that represented iconic Kansas City landmarks helped further the city’s story that it’s a destination – not just fly-over country.
